About me

You may have noticed I don't state nutrition or calories in a serving of any of my soups. I am not a pofessional cook or nutritionist. I am a retired nurse and am just someone who loves soup. It tastes good and being full of veggies, it IS good for you. Calorie wise? If you are so concerned about calories avoid the creamed varieties or just don't be a pig (I know it is hard when soup is so so good and satisfying). I believe reasonable amounts of quality protein and veggies ( perhaps from my garden), full fats (no margarine for me), low salt, and avoiding sugar is the way to go.
Recipes from another blog or site I will link to. Sorry to say that it seems most of my recipes I have had for ages, changed some (or a lot), came from friends or I just do not remember where I initially got them. 
 You should also be aware that hubby and I come from a Northern European back round. Spicy foods are not something we were raised on or care for. You may need/want to spice up my recipes a bit to suit your own tastes! That is alright by me. Check out my "kick it up" soup tip.
